Explore the power of ketamine therapy — a treatment that targets the root causes of mental health challenges and promotes deep, lasting healing.
If you’ve served and you’ve been carrying something heavy, you may already have full coverage for a course of ketamine therapy. Talk to us about your eligibility.
Ketamine is one of the most effective antidepressant medications currently available and is showing great promise as not only a treatment but a path toward sustained recovery from PTSD, anxiety, and OCD. It’s cardiovascularly stable, reduces pain, and is used in general surgery, trauma care, and pediatrics because of how safe it is.
First used in the Vietnam War to reduce pain and mental anguish on the battlefield, ketamine is now used worldwide under various protocols. When paired with intentional ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, the durability of response is greatly enhanced.
Four reasons clinicians and patients are reaching for ketamine when nothing else has worked.
Ketamine is available in multiple forms — IV infusions, intramuscular (IM) injections, and nasal spray.
Works quickly to alleviate symptoms of depression, PTSD, and anxiety — often within hours or days.
Boosts neuroplasticity, helping the brain form new, healthier connections and break cycles of negative thought.
Pairing ketamine with therapy enhances its benefits, allowing deeper emotional processing and integration.
KAP blends the transformative effects of ketamine with the support of psychotherapy to promote deep healing. Ketamine is a safe, evidence-based medicine shown to rapidly relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma — especially for those who haven’t found relief with traditional treatments.
Combined with therapy, ketamine softens mental defenses, allowing you to access emotions, memories, and insights that may feel blocked in day-to-day life. All clients receiving ketamine must be actively engaged in therapy — with our providers or a therapist of their choice — so the medicine is always supported by intentional, compassionate care.
A prescription nasal spray approved for treatment-resistant depression and major depressive disorder with suicidal thoughts or actions.
May be a good option if you've tried two or more antidepressants without sufficient relief, have ongoing depressive symptoms despite treatment, or want a medically supervised, insurance-friendly option.
Spravato® uses only the S-enantiomer of ketamine, FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression. It's often covered by insurance and must be used alongside an oral antidepressant.
Treatments happen in our office with at least two hours of monitoring post-administration. Patients typically start twice-weekly for the first month, then taper based on progress.
When traditional medications and talk therapy alone haven't moved the needle, KAP offers a fundamentally different mechanism — and a different timeline.

Sixteen of the most common questions we get from new ketamine patients. Don’t see yours? Send us a message and we’ll answer within one business day.
KAP may be beneficial for individuals struggling with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress, or other mental health conditions that haven’t responded to traditional treatments. The best way to determine if ketamine is right for you is through a comprehensive evaluation with our team.
Yes. Unlike many clinics, we offer KAP for teens — because mental health support shouldn’t have an age limit. Our team is specially trained to work with adolescents, providing safe, age-appropriate care.
Ketamine is a very safe and legal psychedelic that can bring about transformative healing for patients suffering from depression and trauma. It is used in general surgery, trauma, and pediatrics because of how safe it is.
Ketamine interacts with the brain’s glutamate system — a key player in mood regulation, cognition, and neuroplasticity. Unlike traditional antidepressants that take weeks to show effects, ketamine can provide rapid relief by blocking NMDA receptors and increasing the availability of neurotransmitters that promote healing and connection.
Nasal spray (Spravato and compounded racemic), intravenous (IV), or intramuscular (IM) — your provider will help you decide which is right.
Immediate: rapid improvement in mood, relief from depressive symptoms, and a feeling of relaxation or dissociation — lasting a few hours.
Short-term: a lingering sense of well-being or improved mood, lasting 24 hours to several days. Many feel more mentally clear, less anxious, or more energized.
Long-term: reductions in depressive symptoms can last 1–2 weeks, with some experiencing improvement for 4–6 weeks.
Some patients notice improvement after just one session, while others may need multiple treatments to experience full benefits.
A typical course of oral or intranasal ketamine is about 6 weeks, while a course of IV or IM can be given over 2–4 weeks. The exact number depends on your needs and response.
Ketamine treatments (other than Spravato) are still not covered by most commercial insurance plans, as treatment is considered experimental and therefore requires cash payment. Insurance typically still covers a second-opinion psychiatric evaluation that may include the recommendation of ketamine.
