Founder, Dr. Laurie McCormick, is an Integrative/Holistic Psychiatrist & Family Physician, completing functional medicine certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine and training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and Numinus. She has recently started a new clinic to focus on ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and functional medicine approaches to address the root causes of illness and reduce dependency on psychotropic medications to heal, not just treat symptoms. Dr. McCormick has over 25 years of clinical experience as an MD and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (DFAPA). She graduated from medical school in 1998, completed residency training in psychiatry and family medicine, a neuropsychology fellowship, and was a tenure track clinical research scientist/assistant professor at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine for 10 years until 2013.
